Stopped by the local Pick -N-Pull and got some goodies today. Big dump inside.

Lets start with the builders section that are for sale.

I just really liked the little wing thing on the roof, very classy.

V12! Next to it was a very clean BMW 740 in green and it was the very nice green color.

Some asshole actually tried to junk this.

First section up is the GMs.

Fiero had the 4Tech.

El Camino Conquista?

A fairly rare Chevy Corsica hatchback.

Loving those wheels

Its a Concours! Tried to take the the badges but they were bolted on and I didn’t want to remove the inner fenders.

A nice Ram Van

An XJ with the roof console, really wanted it but it was in poor condition. I did get a brand new brake caliper and 4 brand new brake pads from it though. Someone replaced the front drivers side caliper and then promptly junked it.

Toyota Time!

Tercel was pretty much destroyed inside.

Cressida!

A 2nd Tercel Wagon. This guy stripped about two carts worth of stuff from the interior.

Luckily when I came back he was gone and left the tail lights, which I promptly snagged along with the dome light and some trim pieces.

Zoidberg, what else has good resale on these?

I thought it was neat that they had different things for handles inside. One had a handle, one had a little round knob and others were just capped.

A completely destroyed 240Z.

It only had three of these wheels but I took them anyway to add to my old wheel collection.

I rarely think things are beyond saving, but I think this qualifies.

I found random parts from this car in the trunks of 2 nearby cars too.

Anybody know what this is?

Not an M5 but used to have the badge. Had a nice Magnaflow muffler though so I bet it sounded good. I like the wing too.

I didn’t even realize these were ever sold in the US.

Trucks

I love older dealer badges/stickers. They tell a little about the car’s stories.

This had custom pin-striping inside and out.

High top converted Suburban, was lifted too. Would have made an amazing camper.

Very strange mirrors.

In the parking lot.

This had the Turbo Intercooler stickers but had neither a turbo or an intercooler.

I’ll leave you with that. Not pictured was the incredibly clean early 90s F-150 with a slight lowering I spotted in the parking lot.

Yep, I had no idea these existed in the states. The only one I’ve ever seen was on Top Gear when Hammond had one for a cheap car challenge. Apparently the handling was tuned by Lotus too.

I might have to take a trip over there. Here in Spokane the two main U-Pull type yards are owned by the same company and the prices aren’t all that great.

A bit far, and the only other time I’ve been to tacoma I got a sizeable ticket, but I may have to make a trip anyway. I see a bunch of stuff I could use there. Including that BMWs exhaust.

Pick-N-Pull owns 4 yards on this side of the state. In Lynnwood( haven’t been), Tacoma, Olympia, and Vancouver(haven’t been). The prices are mostly OK, but I haven’t been to other ones to compare in a long time. Next weekend is 50% off everything if you are a member which is free to join.

It was a bummer they only had three, it might be difficult finding a fourth. They were in really good shape besides the corrosion.

That XJS is too awesome.

Good snag on the tail lights. That’s free money right there. Other things of value on those are the headlight bezels (obviously gone), parking light lenses, inclinometers, seats if it’s an SR5, door cards, and, honestly, the hoods and hatches themselves if they’re rust free.

The thing in the 240z is an underhood light. The switch turns it on and the light detaches from the housing, spooling out all of that wire, which is then impossible to put back...

Guessing not the one near South Tacoma? I remember quite a few honda’s at that one. Purely because of abuse and neglect of the owners. Not Honda’s fault.

I remember them being fairly common back in their day actually. The thing is that like all Korean cars imported to the US in that era they ended up at junkyards pretty quickly.

It’s the one in South Tacoma off of 512. There are always Hondas there but most aren’t very interesting. Most of the Hondas have been in an accident or riced into oblivion though

The only reason I remembered the taillights was because you posted about their ridiculous cost. I was really surprised the other guy left them. He took the seats, door cards, spare cover, and some dash stuff. Hatch was unfortunately dented.

That XJS was super nice, I really hope someone buys it so it doesn’t end up as a junker.

I used mine all of once. It took me two days to get all the wire coiled up well enough to put the light back together...

Its really not bad. Rust is bad on cars really close to the ocean or if they are left to park for long periods in grass. Also moss can grow on your car and cause rust.
